I am lucky

I was just reading a post by a local blogger (who is nationally recognized) who lost her son last week. My thoughts go out to her and her family. May he rest in peace. Her blog is at: http://mamapundit.com/.

I must find focus to the scattered mind I have had lately and remember how good my life is and to put myself out there to help other folks who are not as fortunate as I am.

my letter to the Mayor of Knoxville

Ms. Reissig,
Thank you for the e-mail and link to the article.

Dear Mayor Haslam,
If you wouldn’t mind taking a few moments to read this article: http://www.alternet.org/story/146408/ – the mayor of Binghamton, NY, has done something incredibly brave in these tough times.  I would like to see a better future for the people of Knoxville, including my children, and supporting foreign wars and a policy of offense against the world is a sign that the people at home may end up suffering.  Matt Ryan needs support, won’t you consider supporting him?

Sincerely,
Maryann Reissig
